Our Background

The kennels were first founded in 1934 as a small part of diverse operations on the current site. After 1950 the pet care side of the operations became the main enterprise, and has developed progressively to the present day under the same family ownership.

I personally assisted in the day to day running of the business during my time at school, followed by evening and weekend work until I took over in 1980.

Since 1950 the business has developed consistently, always with client and pet satisfaction as our priority. In 1985 we installed our first computer system, and several upgrades later this has become an essential partner in the enterprise, not least in that we now can trace many of our current clients back to the early 1950s.

Other technological improvements include a modern telephone system to ensure clients easily reach us by phone/fax or e mail along with an extensive CCTV system with 24 hr video recording to protect our staff and premises, but most importantly, our feline and canine guests, and background music for the comfort of all of us.
